Hmmm you know this probably could of happened if White Diamond exerted her mental takeover control enough to Stevonnie and got her more to embrace her Diamond heritage... and Stevonnie wound up becoming more power hungry and overthrew White to become the ruler of Homeworld. Still makes for a very good image. I admit as a huge SU fan it does feel off to imagine a really evil and dominating Stevonnie considering how the character normally is but still really works as a good what if.

I imagine prime Steven and Connie would be disturbed by this version of themselves. With Rose's dream of Steven being free to chose his own path destroyed (she never wanted him to clean up her messes, she just wanted him to never be a slave to the gem caste system), and a corruption of Steven and Connie's connection.

And the irony for the diamonds. They are dismissive of organic life and loath fusions (even same gem fusions are barely tolerated), and a semi-organic fusion then rules their empire, with Stevonnie not bound by a normal gem's rigid nature, takes the Diamond's worldview to its logical conclusion.
