Born from an unwilling union, Stedd Tallstag grew up with a mother that hardly cared to consider herself such to him and his twin sister. Having to raise himself and his twin, Stedd is an old soul that really wants nothing more than a nice cup of tea and a good, incredibly cheesy romance novel to relax with during his night watch. When he was 21, he joined the military as all men of his fatherland must serve in the standing army for at least 5 years. He flourished there, proving himself as a fearsome warrior and a bright strategist, relishing in the strict orderliness and enforced discipline. The most meaningful thing to him, however, is finally getting to make an impact on the world. To do good.

Alas, Stedd isn't much more than a footsoldier from a village in the middle of nowhere. The half-orc has been constantly overlooked by his superiors for ... well, simply for being a half-orc. It's only natural that they're mistrusting, he tells himself. Our branch of the army almost solely faces the orcish hordes, he tells himself. Truly, Stedd is content being just another cog in the machine, willing to play his part in the safety of his home, no matter how small. Of course, he is. He's just another soldier. He wields no magic, he can't transform into animals or channel the will of the gods.

All he's got is his glaive and a heart that's in the right place.
