"..O Green world, don't deserve me now
made of you and you of me, but where are we?"
{Fullview please.}
I finally finished this. I wanted to try something new; using markers to colour rather than coloured pencils. I like how it came out . :)
I wanted this picture to be really melancholy, really drained of colour. I wanted the main colour to be green and everything else to be shades of gray, black and white. Kinda sets a mood, I think.
The main subject in the picture is Icykat, my fursona. in this particular piece, she is somewhat transforming into nature; She's becoming organic in a way, returning to nature. She's doing this in two ways, as you all can see. Interpret this how you want, i'm really curious to hear anyone's thoughts on this piece.
Please comment. I worked hard on this. All comments and questions will be answered.
Icykat Copyright to me,
'O Green World' Song title copyright to the Gorillaz; thanks be to them for the inspiration to draw.

Thank you so much. <3
At first I was going to make the entire picture green, but upon practicing with my markers I discovered that the colours really tended to bleed and it wouldn't have looked good, so most of it is grayscale, but I do honestly think it looks better this way. ^^

Well for the upbeat part i was thinking of making it more of a comical piece, something like your character driving a street sweeper through a desert with something like desert storm in the back ground, (Burning oil wells and stuff) And maybe a few soldiers walking by.
That's the vibe i always got from the song.
