Its been a while since i did a ref for shizame, so here it is. Shizame is a male nevrean who has 2 mutation, the abyss blood which turned his sclera and flesh black , second is the golden eyes mutation.
He is stronger than male nevreans and his bones are tougher too, but it does not mean he is a power house who can defeat everything with his might. A strong female nevrean can still overpower him or be a tough challenge, thus why he is equipped with his weapon , a katana made from a almost unbreakable material.
Even if it is a tough sword, it doesn't cut through anything like magic, it has its strenght and weakness like any weapon, so when he is hunting a beast with armor plate, he must find weak spots to slice through.
He is a mercenary but prefers contracts about killing beast than be a no moral merc who will do anything for money. He is not really keen to kill people but if he has no choice he will not hesitate, and will only kill if the person strike first, he will not kill someone just because he was mean to him.
This is a very basic explanation but a reference sheet is more about taking the ref for art purpose than to write a full biography in my oppinion. Rather have his story told through arts than a ref sheet.

I like your thinking that a katana cant slice trough plate gear like trough a pack of butter.
Does he have a past, was he bullied cause his uncommon appearance? Many questions popping up. Whats about the red stripes under his eyes? Tell me mooore! I dont like characters which are overpowered. When i roleplay so even my Sergal is well skilled, but vulnerable, has his weaknesses and always takes challenges like sparring with other soldiers in his camp. Training is surviving during in the setting of my rp partner and me the war is still raging. Your Nev is a mercenary with respect and dont kill all whats on his way. I found some stories from you, faved them, so continue your creative work! :3

I despise people who worship a weapon so much they are blinded by the obvious issues the weapon has. The katana is a good cutting weapon but to say its the best? Thats just ridiculous, all swords are made for a specific reasons, some sucks as cutting but can pierce better than other etc.
As for his uncommon appearance, his father got rid of him when he was a child, not because he was a horrible father, but due to fearing him, since Shizame's mom is a yandere who forced her way onto his dad. The kids were not something he wanted but shizame looked too much like her and he couldnt handle it.

He used to be careless and treat people with no respect as no one respected him, but in due time he realized that his self destructing path will lead to more suffering. He changed his way of life but one of his childhood friends remained the same, Shizame is slowly becoming more and more disguted with him, because all he see's is his own past self.
Shizame is agile and uses tools to aid him in combat, but even then theres so much he can do. He is not powerful like an agudner or sergal so he can't overpower beast with brute strenght, and monsters who have hard shells can't be damaged by his weapon.
If he can't find a weak spot and his tools are not working, all he can do is escape, even if he is ashamed of failing a battle against a deadly monster, he knows his limit

Polaris is a Northerner, so he is big and is a bit tougher, wearing plate and is trained on suriviving in the wilds. But as big he is, and his plate armor gets on the cost of his mobility and he has a normal stamina. If your Shizame would meet him and they would get into troubles they could go on 50/50 chance to fight long but i cant guess who would win. Just imagination.
Its like in the commom world: If youre not normal all looking at you as a weirdo. So i can understand that Shizame gave a fck on others respect. Maybe he got sometimes in trouble, but im curious how your character will develops in the future!

I mean Shizame if he fought your sergal he would need to stay away from him, because if your sergal just grabbed him, he couldnt easily slam him on the ground and beat him up.
Shizame when fighting a person wouldnt never aim at vital point, he would try to incapacitate you, he doesn't want to kill unless theres no other way.
I'd say that Shizame could win if he can locate your weakspots fast enough and try to aim at them, but he would probably be too focused on keep a safe distance against the sergal.
Plus lets not forget Shizame is wearing a light armor, Not everything is protected as he needs to be nimble, fully plated he could get hit and survive but he's a male nevrean, they are not the most tough body wise so even in full armor he would be defeated easily.

If Shizame works with poisoned weapons, could be bring even Polaris down. Hes not afraid of death. He is a soldier, trained, but no mindless murder or a puppet to be manipulated. He can be defeated, when the enemy uses the right way. I want to show a loyal soldier, who can protect, die, and fight.
Shizame and Polaris could be equal oponents.
