Both last Summer and this Summer we put up our tent to camp in the backyard. Last Summer we did this for a single night, but this Summer my daughter and I spent three nights together telling stories, listening to the sounds of nature, even admiring a huge praying mantis one night. She sketched the mantis out the next day; I hope to scan that in and share with you all. This Summer her dog joined us in the tent; he was nervous at first, but soon got used to it and was a good boy. He'll do fine when we go camping for real next Summer (hopefully).
