Man, it's *late*. *yaaawn*
Here's a pic I did yesterday and today for the MMC art show - will be on sale there.
[edit: And it went into the auction, as did the other picture I had brought (first ArtShow - yay!), and Jumpy finally got it - plus a free badge commission I threw in when it reached 100€.]
Unfortunately I had to learn a lesson tonight: Never trust masking fluid. When I made the background and had masked the chars, some color seeped through the MF (yes, I let it dry well. yes, it was a thick layer) and soiled the pic. Panicking, I tore off the mask... and some more still-wet paint sprayed onto the pic.
So some fixing with acrylic colours occured, it's far from perfect, but acceptable again. you only notice wen you look hard.
Well - I won't make that mistake again.
And I won't cut my own passepartouts ever again either. When you custom order them, They look much better, and in the end they're not even really more expensive - it's just not worth all the hassle doing that yourself.
Media are: Polychromos, india ink fineliner, copics, and - haha - acrylic colors on bristol paper. It's got a wide passepartout and a golden frame as well, they're just too big for my scanner.
PS: Ah, and inspiration for the pic and model/reference for the little guy was that: http://www.flickr.com/photos/345985.....-39613097@N02/ - I usually don't keep this close to reference pics, but that was just TOO cute to pass up..:! =^.^=
