As things would have it, Nathan's family owns a large amount of Buneary and some Lopunny, as they run a business utilizing the wool to create various fabrics and stuffing to sell. The Buneary and Lopunny belong to his father, who is an avid collector of them due to how cute he finds them. It has always been his dream to one day obtain a shiny Buneary, and so is overjoyed at the fact that his own son turned out to be shiny.

Needless to say, all the Lopunny and Buneary are quite thrilled to see that Nathan has, in a way, become ‘one of them’. Not only that, but they are thrilled to be able to actually communicate with him, and have a kind of medium for things they’d like to say!
