Walden was enjoying his new life in Paris. Living with the ambassador and his daughter was hard at first, but he got use to it because they were all very kind to him.
One day, while Walden was playing with the others. The ambassador called to him. Walden ran over and asked the ambassador what he wanted and he replied they were going for a drive. In the car, Walden asked the ambassador where they were going and he gave Walden an invitation. Then ambassador explained that he was invited to a banquet at the palace of Versailles that was to be held in a week and he wanted Walden to escort his daughter to the event.
Walden was rather excited and said he was grateful to do so, but still wondered why they were heading into the city. The ambassador explained that Walden wasn’t going to be attending the banquet in regular clothes and wanted him to wear a suit.
They soon arrived at the clothing store that the ambassador went to for his suits and ties. They met the tailor who was happy to see the ambassador again, and then met Walden. The tailor explained that he had just outfitted several lions an hour before.
The tailor then measured Walden and helped him pick out what kind of suit he wanted to wear. As he looked around, Walden saw a mannequin wearing a dark-gray two-piece suit with a double-breasted jacket, white shirt and gray designer tie. Walden seemed to like the suit and asked if he could try it on. The tailor got the same suit from the back of the store and took Walden into the dressing room.
After helping him get dressed, Walden took a moment to see himself in the suit. He thought he looked great in the suit and made a smile as he adjusted his cuffs. He then exited the dressing room and asked the ambassador what he thought of the suit. The ambassador thought Walden looked elegant with the suit on and bought it for him and asked Walden to wear it out.
Walden saw a smile on the ambassadors face and they both stood in front of the mirror and placed his arm around Waldens shoulder. Walden was happy, for he felt like he was part of their family.
