Yay! More fanart of obscure video game characters! :D
This time, I drew the main protagonist from SEGA's Donkey Kong. :^) Haha, 'tis a bad joke, this is SEGA's Congo Bongo ("Tip Top" in other parts). This game was SEGA's answer to Nintendo's Donkey Kong, and by the looks of it, I wouldn't be surprised. Not only were both games programmed by Ikegami Tsushinki, they both starred a mustachioed hero going against an ape. What fun!
What made the game different from Donkey Kong was that it had an ISOMETRIC view!
When it comes to games with an isometric view, I tend to SUCK at them, it makes me question my ability to perceive depth. XD
Enough of my nerdy ramblings, I hope you all enjoy this simplistic piece! :)

Side Note: I like to think the main character is just Luigi before he became a plumber. lol

Ah yes, Sabre Wulf and Knight Lore, two classic games for the ZX Spectrum. :) I can see the resemblance between the two games and Congo Bongo, although Congo Bongo didn't really have any story or exploration (I mean, what did you expect from an arcade game from 1983 XD).
I didn't expect Congo Bongo to be basically 3D and that did very well, I think Rare fell in love with it because on the NES he also released some games with that kind of movement. Congo has a lot of great things actually even though I was born in '87 in Mexico so there are a lot of things that I have to study about videogames.
It is that in Mexico there were things that did not arrive at that time
