Did Some art for my character I'm playing in D&D, Orpheus Va'ris, He's a Rouge Tiefling who pretends to be a bard for various reasons.
His mother was a legendary elven bard who played at many a noble opera houses with such finesse it was said to make even infernals cry. However the secret to her prowess was quite the opposite story. She made a deal with the demon Asmodeus for her talent and her enchanted Lyre, gifted to her by the demon. However he never told her the price for the contract. Years later she married, and had a child. However the child was born as a Tiefling, his body and blood corrupted by the infernal Asmodeus. Rather than risk her secret be exposed, she abandoned the child to the streets to survive on their own.
Fast forward to his young adult days, the boy was trouble itself. A trickster and a flirt he made a name for himself by performing and storytelling. he persuaded the masses to either tolerate or accept him despite his cursed bloodline. Eventually the Rogue found the truth about his mother and his lineage, and her prized Lyre. Deciding to make the biggest heist yet, and take revenge upon his mother, he snuck into her manor, Stole away her Lyre, and made it his own Prized possession. however the enchantment refuses to work for his hands...and is just a simple lyre. So Orpheus sets out on a journey to find how to make the Lyre's enchantment work for his hands, to become better than his mother ever was, through grit and guile.
he keeps a resentment for all nobles, and throughout his journeys me hakes it a point to Trick and swindle all who would take advantage of the poor and downtrodden. Wherever there are corrupt nobles he will be there with his best friend a Goblin Sorceress Qit, to put them in their place and force a lesson of humility upon the rich.
