I've been meaning to expand more on the mammal cast of characters in Malikai's world. This base I colored represents a character I named Jennifer, but she likes being called Jen. She's a Megatherium with a rather peculiar social structure. While generally calm and quiet most of the time, she can get pretty aggressive if someone accidentally startles her while she sleeps or while she's browsing from a tree, or if some wild predator tries to attack. Given her size, she's obviously pretty strong, with enough strength to rival Malikai's own.

Regarding her peculiar social structure as mentioned before, how she acts depends on who she meets. She's particularly friendly with Malikai and even deeply respects him since she was moved by his kindness and his outgoing personality, up to the point where she'll willingly show her softer side to him. To anyone else, she just acts.....well, not so soft. If someone pisses her off by trying anything, she'll send them flying with a single swing from her tail, or knock them away with her strong arms, without using her claws of course since she's not THAT violent, except with monsters.

Malikai usually has to calm her down when she gets like that. Most of the time she calms down if he gives her a big hug. However, if she feels a hug isn't enough, she'll expect something more.... intimate from him.

Now in regards to how she met Malikai, it all happened when he was wandering through some woodlands. He found her eating from a tree, being amazed by how tall she was and how strong she looked, given that he'd never seen a Megatherium before. He was about to go over to her when he suddenly witnessed a predatory monster heading toward her. Before he could attack it, Jen, in a sudden display of aggression, promptly fought it off and sent it into a retreat.

After assuring her that he wasn't a threat, he took the time on getting to know her. At first she was uninterested in his enthusiasm, but over time as they conversed, she started to open up to him, going on to find herself becoming fond of him.

One thing's for sure, as mentioned before, she's no pushover when confronted with a threat. She's more than strong enough to defend herself, and she's known to have injured and even killed some monsters that dared to attack her. In fact, monsters who don't immediately fear Malikai will surely fear this aggressive sloth.

In addition, while she may be slow most of the time when she walks, but can be quite agile when lunging in to attack. What she lacks in speed, she makes up for with endurance, as she's capable of taking a hit.

Well, that's all I can say about her.
