While the standard C.A.T. series are as common as the standard contruction Tech in this day and age, it is very rare to see the larger precursor demolition types of the series. Dubbed ‘Big Cat’ due to being at least 3 times the size of standard construction types, these earlier models used massive alternating hand and arm modules to switch from one task to another. A jack of all trades, a single Big Cat can do as many jobs as several smaller ones, however not at the same time. Due to it’s massive size, Big series must rely on a large Hydro-Sol reactor which allows it to run for 60 hours straight on a full charge. And it was this that caused it to be replaced by the newer versions.

Due to a Hack attack caused by Techno-Terrorists, a trio of Big Cats ran amok in a largely populated city area. Heavily armored local police forces were unable to stop them. BEAST units managed to destroy 2 of the 3 but the final one escaped and hasn’t been seen since.

Since then they’ve had their OS reinforced but the damage being done, the Big series was replaced by their smaller cousins. However, a few still exist and continue to serve the cities they are assigned to.
