Holy smokes though. This is such a feeling. I am almost kinda glad for it sometimes thanks to growing up with game addiction. But sometimes I wish I could just giggle over a cute animal person for 30 minutes and not do my chores vs crushing my video game chores in that 30 and the compulsions so hard to resist.

That's definitely relatable. I've gone from playing video games for hours a day to hardly having any time or motivation to devote to them as I got older. I really want to enjoy them, but sometimes its hard knowing the looming responsibilities in the background. Instead I just, end up doomscrolling on twitter or whatever, which is not a great habit (but its fast distraction). I understand why pick-up-and-play games are so popular with my demographic these days, as much as I'd love to get into a good story more often.

Oh my frickity I live for popcap games to this day. Gimme just a little stop and start. Bejeweled is still my ASMR food for when I dont wanna nap and passively get asmr from videos. Anything with grinds? Oh no. Sorry. Its too much. Ive got my time sink games like that and moods but im always in the mood for some Peggle ^^
