This is a simple little tool with one purpose to me. It is used for applying borax powder to the surface and joinings of steel I wish to weld together in my forge. It doesn't have a very deep depression in it for scooping, because I don't really need that much borax.
This spoon had been forged out of a quarter length of rain road spike, which is 5/8ths in thickness. I could have probably forged a few more from that same piece.
