Yeah like this guy says you should also check out Neos VR, the community there is friendlier, (it's mostly built by furries) and Neos VR allows you to build in-world like second life, that being said it's fairly new, there isn't as many people on it and is very much still in development, and not as user friendly, but it's definitely worth a try, me and a friend of mine setup a persistent starbase world there.

I am also making that same starbase for Vr Chat
