Hello!
September 26, 2020 was designated by NASA as International Observe the Moon Day. https://nightsky.jpl.nasa.gov/event.....Event_ID=96643
Sharing my love for astronomy, I set up my Celestron 127SLT f/11.8 Mak-Cas Go-To telescope in a parklet in the middle of my little town business district and shared views of the Moon, Saturn and Jupiter.
This is a photo I was able to capture using the camera on my cell phone, between groups of people, of the Moon that night. I was using an 18mm 1.25" University Optics Eyepiece with Orion Polarizing Moon Filter (85x magnification) Visible are the dark areas of Mare Imbrium, Serenity, & Tranquility. Also visible is very bright crater Copernicus with it's distinctive ray debris pattern, crater Albategnius (approx. center, face on) and many more.
Enjoy!
