Haha, well originally the anonymous character was shorter so they were bit closer in height, but when I drew the hug it meant that one of their faces had to overlap the other which I didn't like the look of. So to get around that I just drew the anonymous character taller.
It's at least not totally unreasonable, Darling is rather short.
