I saw a kid doing this today, and this is exactly what passed through my mind.
Oh hey, the binturong has a name now. A spell-able name. And a new eye color. When I start drawing him with fur tattoos that glow and change color to suit his mood, you know I've been taken over by a pod and it's OK to kill me. And yeah, I do have a stuffed unicorn. Got him for my 7th birthday, which means he'll be 29 in July. Wow.
Yes, it's crappy but I'm not a cartoonist, and I'm tired.

LOL!
I got a comeuppance early on a road trip with the family when I shot a pink pong ball type thing from a rubber pistol designed to be squeezed and the pressure popping it out at my sister who was being a toad, and unfortunately the window was open, and she bent forward at the exact second of release - the ball sailed out the window. My dad was like "we gotta make Knoxville in another hour, shut up", As he pressed on the accelerator pedal harder.

Does he smell like popcorn, too? :D
I was too paranoid (smart?) to ever do that, that I can remember. My dad said something about something like that happening to a KITTEN once. I don't remember if it was him or a friend or what, but the kitten was on the driver's shoulder and just suddenly FLEW out the window. I was really young when I heard the story but even then I was like, "WHY LET IT NEAR THE WINDOW, WHY EVEN HAVE IT OPEN THAT FAR WITH THE KITTEN WITH YOU, OH GOD WHY WOULD ANYBODY DO THAT??? ;_;"
I have ONE plushie that I used to take with me everywhere and sometimes I still do (when I go on these crazy trips out of the country for example)... She's about twelve years old now?
Also, you say you're not a cartoonist, but this is pretty good! Better than my attempts at cartoons/comics. I like his crazy screaming face.

OH MY GOD. This is why I'm glad my little dog almost always conked out as soon as we got in the car. On the rare occasions she did want to look out the window, I was afraid the whole time that we'd go over a bump and she'd fly out the window.
And yes, he smells like delicious popcorn. I'm trying to make a fursuit of him and wondering how I could incorporate that into the suit!

I think i still have a mess of stuffed tigers somewhere. Probably buried in the heathen garage. I never moved those things out of my room for fear of loosing them somewhere in the house, let along in the car on the road.
Although one i remember donating to this charity thing where it goes around the world with a backpack of canned food and stuff which people take and sometimes they put in a souvenir. I got a sweet boomerang from Australia that way.

yay! you did a cartoon! more Scrivner! yay!
(looking forward to your getting some confidence inking the outlines, or whatever term cartoonists use; the lines seem kind of tentative & sketchy; you've got the graphic sensibility already, it's just the technique that looks a little off)

I would never have put my dear plushie friend in danger like this. xD
Last year I found a dog toy on the side of the road. It had been run over and one of the eyes was busted. I took it home, washed it, and took out the busted eye and sewed him up. He's on my shelf. Thinking about making an eye patch for him. ^^
I also found a bear toy in a parking lot. Poor dears.

My little dragon Buzzregard traveled with me all over the place in my backpack for years... I still have him 23 years later. To give you an idea of what a total dork I was- I bought him when I was 17...
Your comic looks pretty awesome to me, man- good pacing, cute joke, nice art-style and facial expressions. For a guy who thinks he isn't a cartoonist, yer pretty danged good at it.
And bintys are so effing CUTE. Do they really smell like popcorn? O___o
