This, this page in the original, I can't begin to tell you how much this had an effect on me, this brings all kind of emotions to the surface and makes me want to go back to a simpler time, I feel we all secretly want that kind of security and protection of having someone be there for you and look after you.
*nods* Yeah I really feel you there. There were just giant chunks of found that would make my heart ache for like..longing to be that small and that safe/protected. I started writing found because i wasnt really getting that little fix, so kinda lived a lot through Gems interactions at the time. Perhaps thats a large reason why ive restarted drawing it because im finding it diificult to get that sort of interaction
This is an amazing redraw, great job... and nice to see it isn't gonna just be a remake with your new skills, you're restructuring it a bit as well, as this kinda combines both 7 and 8. Also yeah, you can really feel like Gem is a crying infant... this makes me just wanna scoops up poor Gem and snuggle her in my arms so badly.
I also kinda dread seeing how detailed and scary some of the latter scenes will be o.o but I guess that shows just how far you've come over the years. I remember when I started reading this many many years ago... when you posted that website with found on there long ago, and watching the story unfold in real time. you've come a long way.

Like....I'm not maternal. In the slightest, BUt that first full bodied view really makes me wanna pick her up and make her stop crying LOL. Theres huge chunks of this comic I am really not looking forward to redrawing but at the same time I am. I never really could draw the mist/smoke monster very well and im hoping when I get to those parts I'll beable to draw it better
I think I’m glad you deviated from the original here... the framing is much better, though I might not have included frame 3 at all.
