Something I've been working on lately, this is the console on my 300SE where the window switches and gearshift is. The thing started cracking and huge chunks fell off of it making it look terrible. Well, I pulled it out and chipped the rest of the old plastic and veneer off and sanded it down. Next I applied new veneer with a bit of an inlay pattern and a lovely little fairy that I cast and painted to look like old ivory. I also ended up covering a couple of holes to switches that didn't work anyway and did nothing but collect dirt. I just poured the plastic resin before I snapped the picture.
