I'm calling it here. There's gonna be a curse that binds Noah to Mort for the rest of their lives.

If it went that way it would only be a "curse" to Noah, who, given Mort's demeanor, would likely end up living out his days on a never-ending journey again and through the latter's digestive tract -- only seeing the light of day for the brief time it takes to be shat out, resurrected, and then it's right back "down the hatch" again. It would be an excellent set up for Mort, as he is guaranteed an "endless buffet" of live human for as long as Noah survives (which might be an eternity for a fire demon). What a great deal!

Considering Noah's luck so far...

I'm sure the magic immortality snake is willing to take this viewpoint under careful consideration.
