This is an older commission by  hyperhugs (sadly no longer on FA) of Marie being protected by a sweet friend of hers from class.

When Marie evolved into an Espeon at a very young age, she had a dark side that came from the negative feelings of her parents passing. When Sarai came into her life as her teacher, later surrogate mother, she was able to help Marie overcome this darkness within her. The downside of that...her dark side had the form of a Sneasel and when Sarai helped her, this darkness coalesced into an actual Sneseal named Soma who was a bully to Marie all the time. It was like all Soma wanted to do to Marie was make her days at school miserable.

However, as Marie got into middle school, she started to notice a rather sweet Meowstic named Sammy who seemed to be interested in her...but just as shy (especially since he was also a psychic-type). Neither one could even say hi as they passed by each other...until Soma wanted to pick on Marie again.

"Marie, you baby brat!" Soma growled as she tried to swipe at her with her claws.

"I'm notta brat!" Marie cried as she tried to huddle into a corner - Soma being a Dark-type meant Marie couldn't do a thing to stop her.

"I'll show you, brat!"

"You're the brat!" Marie sobbed and started to cry as Soma tried to swiped at her. It was about that time that Sammy just couldn't take it anymore - he felt like he had to protect Marie...even if he had to take the brunt of bullying from a Dark-type.

"Hold on, Marie," Sammy mewed in desperation as he clung on to her.

"Such a baby!" Soma grred, "Need a boy to protect you?" Soma started to use Dark Slashes trying to get to the two, but found her claws had no purchase on either one.

"Please, don't hurt her!" Sammy cried out as his eyes glowed, bringing up a Reflect to protect the two, "Don't hurt such a good girl." Soma kept it up for a bit, until Ms. Sealy, the Wigglytuff managed to Play Rough on Soma to break up the fight. Soma acted all tough, but against Ms Sealy, she didn't have much choice since she was part Fairy-type. The Wigglytuff vice-principal just couldn't stand any bullying at all and with that, she would have to REALLY give Soma detention. All the while, Marie started to calm down, clinging to Sammy as she finally caught your breath.

"Was this the only way I could say hi to you?" Marie asked weakly, gently looking over at the Meowstic.

"Shh, it's okay Marie," Sammy cooed softly, "Ms. Sealy got Soma before she could hurt either one of us."

"I wish Soma still didn't harbor a grudge against me..."

"It's okay Marie, I'm here," Sammy sighed in relief, hugging on to Marie, "Let's get to class, okay?"

"Mmm..." Marie cooed shyly, "Can you please say hi? I know you wanted to talk with me...now's the time."

"O-okay," Sammy blushed softly, "Hello, Marie, how are you little Espeon?"

"B-better now," Marie blushed softly, "How about you little Meow-meowstic?" Sammy blushed hard when Marie asked; his twin sister loved to teasingly call him that.

"G-good, now since I got to meet my best friend," Sammy blushed, both from just talking to Marie...but being a little forward with the friendship.
