After it had vanished from the private collection of an affluent nobleman in Maharashtra, its last reported sighting had been in the hands of Sly Cooper. Carmelita had always assumed it had disappeared into the black market after that, pawned off by the thieving ringtail without any consideration for its history. Of course, the nobleman he'd stolen it from had later been forced to resign when word of his illicit business dealings had come to light, but that was another matter altogether.

And yet, here it was, delivered to her home with all the presentation of a Valentine's Day present, despite her assumption that a certain stripe-tailed thief had been mocking her years ago, when he'd first announced his intention to give it to her as proof of his affections.
