Here at chapter 4 we get the first OC-centric thumbnail, starring Punchy and...Heather? Well, it's like this. I feel Rainbow doesn't have much arc left in her, but Heather has tons of squandered potential...that I hopefully make use of eventually ^^;

Eggman finally shows up here, too. I bet he misses his glory days but don't worry, we'll see him a good number of times in this story. Clucky and Burrowbot also make their one appearance referencing Scratch and Grounder one more time. I'll be honest, I don't even remember what story I had them do that in before...

And now the ending spoiler for this chapter..... yeah, that guy's back AGAIN. You know who I'm talking about. You read the chapter, right? It's everyone's favorite non-recurring Sonic villain who recurs like mad in my fanfics; Mephiles! Only now he has yet another new power; Soul-snatching, which as he reveals this, he also reminds us that the E-X robots have souls. Thoughtful because Xenegg is one character I actually don't intend to write into this huge thing. I know I've said I'd put everyone in but that's honestly impossible. Still gonna try for 99% though ^^;



.... But now, can I call myself out real quick? This has to be my lowest point. (thankfully, cuz it means it gets better from here) Because seriously, what was up with me that day when I was like "Yes! Good idea! Original stage! An...office building..." =_= I'm self-aware about it, believe me. The idea was to revisit the construction site from the first story. Didn't wanna venture too far from Station Square yet. Starting in Ch. 6 though, we don't return to Station Square for some time.

Don't check out on next week just yet, though! You may find Eggman's scheme intriguing. Or not. I honestly have no idea how any of my ideas are ever received. (I'm certainly insecure about it, though!)
