"Little is known of the mysterious Dragonborn Enclave that dwells in the Spine of the World, far from the prying eyes of normal folk. For centuries, these Dragonborn kept to themselves in a curious… structure, nestled in the mountain range. From the few, scattered accounts given, it appeared to be a temple or castle, though the composition was entirely unlike any seen throughout the world. Similarly, the origins of these Dragonborn remained a mystery, known only to a select few. All they would impart unto outsiders were four words: “We came from Kraalgan,” with no explanation as to whom, where or even what Kraalgan was. Nevertheless, these Kraalganites – as they came to be known – kept a cordial relationship with the few mortals that would brave the Spine of the World to visit them. Avaragus Thaladax was once an acolyte researcher for the Enclave, travelling to distant lands and learning what he could of the florae and faunae. As eager to learn as he was, he was little more than adequate when it came to data collection, though his good nature and charming tongue made him an apt negotiator, and his strength proved instrumental on a handful of occasions.

All of this changed when the Kraalganites suddenly fell under the sway of a cult known only as the Everlasting Dawn, and began spreading across the Spine of the World. Avaragus managed to help a handful of Kraalganites escape, before he began searching for any power that would help save his people. Poring over tomes and manuscripts, his search led him to a forgotten temple and a curious sword..."
