Noms Quest is an interactive comic adventure in which YOU decide what happens next. For each new image in the series, the spectating audience will be asked to give suggestions for what the characters do next. This is meant to follow in the same vein as Ruby Quest and other MSPaint Adventure series. So you can only control the characters that are in the Party(which at the start will be Sefra and Damien only). In any event, I'll take either the most suggested response or the one I happen to like the most (cause I'm drawing it and I can do whatever I want XP) and draw that suggestion as the next "panel" of the comic. The process will continue until the adventure is either completed or reaches a Game Over. I'll try to post around one panel a day at the least, but I'm not setting any definite timeline for this. So some days may see multiple posts others may see none.
The Rules are as follows:
-The goal of Noms Quest is to reach the end of the journey and defeat the Final Boss.
-Sefra is the Main Character, all other accompanying characters are "Party Members."
-You are allowed a total of six Party Members, this is INCLUDING Sefra.
-No one joins the Party automatically. If you want a character to join the group, then you'll have to convince them to do so.
-You CANNOT control non-party characters.
-Characters under your control can perform any actions that are reasonably within their capacity to perform.
-Once Max Party Size is reached, you cannot add anyone else to the Party without first removing an existing Party Member.
-No character is "Safe" from being harmed or defeated, so be careful with your Party Members.
-Sefra will have three extra lives (because I figure I can't trust you people to keep him out of a belly). Once all of Sefra's lives are lost, you will receive a Game Over and Noms Quest will end.
-It will take a set number of panels, or "turns," for Sefra to revive after being defeated. If the Party is wiped out before Sefra can revive, then this will also result in Game Over and end Noms Quest.
-No other character in the game has extra lives. So when a character is defeated or leaves the party, then that character is gone for good and you cannot get them back.
-Sefra will have three "Lifeline" abilities, described later, that will allow you to take special actions to solve a problem. Once a Lifeline has been used, it is lost forever. You cannot regain Lifelines.
-The journey follows a linear pathway. After every few turns, an "Encounter" will occur. During an Encounter, you will meet a new character and be able to interact with them.
-Characters are ordered into three categories: Ally, Neutral, and Enemy.
-Ally Encounters provide you with a friendly/heroic character who seeks to aid you in some way.
-Neutral Encounters provide you with a neutrally aligned character that can fall into either of the other two categories depending upon your interactions with them.
-Enemy Encounters provide you with an evil character who must be fought and defeated in some way in order to proceed.
-Encounters are determined at Random. So even I won't know what character you will meet next until we reach the next Encounter.
-Occasionally, you will enter a Town, which will have multiple areas to explore. You can explore as many of these areas as you like before moving on to the next map/area.
-Finally, note that, unless you ask for it, I will not provide any additional details relating to... well... most anything. XP You're expected to figure things out on your own. Good Luck! >;3
Lifelines:
-Deus Ex Machina, using this Lifeline will result in the present scenario being immediately resolved through some extraordinary means. This Lifeline can solve ANY problem.
-Sands of Time, using this Lifeline will result in the game "Rewinding" just far enough for the audience to correct one critical mistake.
-Mystery Ball, using this Lifeline will result in the immediate resolution of an Enemy Encounter. This Lifeline is selective and will refuse to function during certain Encounters.
