Welcome to Future Future Labs, a retro pixel art game where you play as an artificial inteligence responsible for evolving the last remaining humans on earth so they can survive the hazardous post-apocalyptic world outside.

The year is 2160,
Earth as we know it has become an hostile landscape,
Most species, inclusing the human race, are on the verge of extinction,
However, it wasn't a nuclear war, nor a world wide pandemic that caused all of this.

Fifty years ago, a large meteor collided with Antarctica,
It caused earthquakes all across the globe and rose the water levels of the oceans.
Most buildings collapsed and every coastal city was submerged.
But that wasn't over.

Earth's rotation almost stopped completely with the shock,
Half of the globe was left directly facing the sun, reaching temperatures that could cook organisms alive.
The other half was left facing the emptiness of space, freezing in eternal darkness,
All of that left only a small line across the circumference of earth barely habitable... barely...

Most of humanity died in the following years to various causes,
famine, disease, thirst and even wars for the little resources left.
The remaning survivors live in isolated underground laboratories scattered across the world,
They are mostly scientists who decided to put their differences aside and work togheter for a better future.

In this game, you are the artificial intelligence called DATF,
You oversee the genetical experiments contucted in the laboratory,
Your job is to guarantee human survival by any means,
Even if that means turning them into monsters.

Give them minor improvements with small mutations,
Or completely transform them into brute mindless beasts for physical labor,
Humans are your resource and you don't have much time,

Send them on missions for resources,
Defend the laboratory against raiders,
Avoid a rebellion and keep morale up,
The future of mankind depends on you!
...Or just transform everyone into cute monsters and have fun...
