Child of Opposites
"Fire is often viewed as an element of pure destruction, and as such, often draws in those seeking such power, however, it has other sides, it's all about purpose and control."
"I suppose there is truth to that, even the sea exists in the harmony of calmness and cruelty, water gives life but can also kill so easily."

So this lil drawing was inspired by a recent rp that happened in my DnD campaign. Those who've seen my very first HK drawing here might remember that we got some HK cameos in our campaign, including Grimm and his child which has been entrusted to my character, Lorenzo.
When we originally encountered Grimm we were not in a good spot and he just dumped his child with us without much explanation. So in the last couple sessions we finally ran into him again and the Grimmchild (named Zyrae) has now reached stage 3. This time however Grimm stuck around after the fight so Lorenzo took advantage of that cause he had qUeStIoNs. So three irl days of rp later my poor water wizard finally learns what exactly he got himself into there, including the fact that yea the child is gonna remain with him and he will be raising him. Good thing is Lorenzo always wanted to be a parent, just didn't expect it to happen already, not to mention also didn't expect any of his children to be fledgeling nightmare gods. He's handling it rather well tho.
The drawing features a scene that was happening while Lorenzo and Grimm were talking, where Zyrae was playing with the water fish and fire bat created by his caretaker and parent. I just thought that would make for an interesting drawing because of the opposite elemental alignment. Though technically both the fish and bat were supposed to be much smaller, buuuuut tis the image I had in mind and also fuck me that fish took way too long. I learned I really hate doing water effects, this one took like two hours and in the end I gave up. It's good enough hhhhhhh.
