It has begun! October is here once again, and that means more Halloween theme pictures this month!
I would like to start off with a tribute to one of my favorite horror movies, Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds' (1963).
Christine is featured as Melanie Daniels, the main protagonist from the movie. She is trapped inside a phone booth as a massive flock of seagulls attack the town.

Summary: A woman named Melanie Daniels visits a small coastal town. But just as she arrives, for some unknown reason, the birds begin to viciously attack the town. Now Melanie and her friends are trying to survive the violent creatures.
If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend it.

I heard the rumor she was never told the glass was going to shatter when filming the scene, so it's pretty genuine.
The scene with the dead guy without eyeballs in the sockets always scared the bejeebers out of me especially as it's so sudden and there is no music or sound effect to give clue to what is around the corner. Actually, the lack of scary music and embellished sound effects makes a movie scarier imo.

I heard about that in the making of the movie. She said some of that glass actually got into her face.
That scene scared me too. Sound does play a major role in this movie. There is either complete silence or the sounds of the birds. Hitckcock was a genius with this movie.

What I mean is if you notice in many horror movies they over indulge in scary, ominous music and exaggerated, unrealistic sound effects. In The Birds though, the director uses unnerving silence and only the natural, overwhelming sound of fluttering wings. No music to hint at jump scares or instrumental "BADA BOOM" sound at the appearance of a bird or something. I think a movie would be much scarier if the directors restrained themselves over the sound or music.

I imagined your art style on a horror series called "The Mandela Catalogue" if you don't know what that is it's a horror series about monster like demon things called Alternates that can take the form and or pretend to be people and they kill people that's about it. the backstory is long so i'm gonna say it fast like this. it's in a alternate universe where a demon pretending to be an angel named Gabriel brainwashes people to overthrow Jesus and now him and his demon minions roam the earth. it's a little crazy but yeah
