I'm blinded by my expectations from City of Heroes. Unless it's some form of energy blasts, I wouldn't be able to wager a decent guess.

The clue isn't necessarily the picture itself.

You're assuming this is a defender. You know he could be a controller too. (But then his force fields would be the secondary power, so maybe I'm wrong)

You're assuming he'd fall into the archetype system of CoH. And with GR coming, he could also be Mastermind or Corruptor. :P

Except Corruptors don't get force fields, remember? :P

In the interest of preventing people from hurting themselves over figuring this one out, his major power is force fields, and his minor powers are extraordinary endurance, and kinetic manipulation (Maybe) I'm not dead set on the last one yet.

Ah I thought for sure it would be Extraordinary P.E. and Healing Factor :O drat.
The first one being well obvious xD I played Heroes Unlimited(And ventured into Rifts with Heroes Unlimited Characters and Aliens Unlimited) for many years hehee. I remember Forcefields and Extraordinary P.E. mutant being the second character I made!

Aha, Heroes Unlimited! I ran in one of those once way back in the day. We (and I barely include myself in that) rune D&D constantly; it is boring :(

I like HU, but we never got our campaign off the ground... I started my MMORPG addiction with CoH. I had a wonderful um, fighter archetype, I forget, it's been so long.
He wasn't the tank, butI built him in such a way with Martial Arts and Superreflexes that you couldn't hit him and he dealt out loads of punisment, almost blaster level!

Had to look again, at first glance I thought he was wearing a costume or space suit of some sort! Forcefelds...and anti-gravity? And the "high above the city" background is very effective.

That's the idea. Make him appear as if he's clothed when really he's virtually naked.

Well you fooled us all(or at least you fooled me), so he is flying showing his ass to everyone?(and a hairy one at that?)

he looks a bit like Will powers from the phoenix wright games! (wich is definately a good thing, especially since he's an action hero!)

Sweet hero. I've always been biased on the side of dudes with that 'monkey style' fur on their bodies. Especially hair that goes down the back like a mane. Manimals sporting Man-manes are always cool in my book. I love the clothing. I always admired how practical looking skimpy clothing looks on a man with his own pelt.

What struck me most here is that, first of all the poses and expressions stand out, very superhero comic in style. But then I took a closer look and read your comments. That fur is brilliant, but I'm not sure why. X3 An interesting take on making a mostly human character with that sexy coat of fur. :P

Also, force fields as a power sometimes seem underrated. I mean, look at Invisible Woman, for one, or even Violet from the Incredibles. And he seems to be able to stretch and wield and manipulate them in an even greater variety of ways. It looks like he makes stepping stones to "walk" in midair. O_O He has his own tactile interface wherever he goes! Awesome.
