That's a good bun

Carving the jack-o-lantern was one of my favorite parts when I was a kid. I never managed to scoop the pulp out half so neatly, though! This is a really cute little scene, and I love the face he has planned out for his pumpkin, too. Also, he's such a handsome buck. I love his overall design, especially the one brown toe on each foot and the stripes on his ears and tail. You did such a great job with him, and this is a gorgeous piece all around!

I love the texture on this and the shading is great <3 They are quite brave to do that indoors haha.

Related, I am super torn on pumpkin carving. I love it once it is done but it is such a mess! Apparently it is hereditary. Last year I was so excited to let my daughter carve her first pumpkin and she just stuck her hand in, made the "OH YUCK!" face, and then almost started crying until we told her she could just go wash her hands. She refused to help any futher x'DD
