Everyone who signed up to appear in the stories is the victim in one story and the culprit in another. Of course, they won't appear in story by name as the culprit. It's up to you to figure out who is responsible by looking at the transformation that receive and how it is done. Then head on over to our suspect list located in the Thirteen Tales Index (Link Below) and see if you can figure out who dun it!
The answers will be revealed November 1st.
For our first tale, we have

Historically, it was an essay written by Emile Zola in defense of Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish officer in the French army who was convicted of treason in 1894, despite the total lack of evidence, due to the strong anti-Semitism within the French army. The resultant scandal in France lasted until his pardon in 1906.
The name came from the accusations of anti-Semitism he laid against the French army officers behind the conviction of Dreyfus.
