"There have been reports of an odd signature coming from a planet in the Sprinter star cluster. After some investigation, I found an ocean planet orbiting an unassuming main sequence star that matched the signature. This ocean planet was inhabited by non-sentient aquatic life, their anatomy consistent with bony fish you could find on Earth. I collected one specimen and returned it to the nearest outpost for further study. The system was put onto the "no fly" list until further studies have been completed."
