How long did it take you to type/write all of this down before posting the text?
From writing the first few lines down to finishing the last sentence (consecutively speaking)
You may also add any detailed information on the time it took to re-write and increase the quality of your text in spanish.

I am doing some general research regarding writers who share their ideas, stories and thoughts down for others to read.
It is important for me to receive the necessary information so that other writers may better understand how to manage their time and resource on specific subjects, how long it may take to write one chapter, then how long it may take to re-write it again, fixing errors from grammatical to logical.

You have typed down roughly 2 000 words (10 000 characters). Through generalized reserach, studies show that experienced narrators write around 500 and 1 000 words per day (and some write a whole lot more words than this average). If these few paragraphs of text had been a secondary objective throughout your week, then you may have taken 2 to 3 days to write all of that down. And perhaps an additional day to increase the quality of your grammar (It is certainly not when shortly google translated however.)
I ask if that amount of time was an accurate approximation for you. Unless you wrote it all down and posted it within a day of a week-end vacation, I would very much appreciate to hear how long it has taken for you to write all of this if you remember.

Hello Iiryn-e, the original text on Spanish (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/38489918/) was written by a reporter student, so I'm unaware of how long did the original text took to be written. The only parameters that I'm aware of that were around the writing of this text is that it had to be at least 120 lines and on Times New Roman N° 12 (this was mentioned at the end of the original text on Spanish but I have removed it when I posted it here) I know it is not very helpful but it is what I know.

I am not an experimente writer neither a translator, I just write some stories every now and then and enjoy to translate some things to English so I can share them with no Spanish-speakers.
This is just a translation from Spanish to English of someone else's work. Along this text here may be some grammar errors as I'm not a native speaker, i do try to avoid the use of google translate for full sentences and limit its use just for single words or refer to a dictionary to verify the meaning or correct translation of a word. On the case of this text I just read it again twice after finishing the translation to correct a few typos and some of the grammar.

As for how long it took me to translate this text, I can't really tell as I started doing it back on May and left it after 3/4 done until this morning that I had some free time between my work. What did took extra time was changing all the words on italic for characters that are already on italic without intervention of the text editor that works on the codification UTF-8.

As for the amount of words, I haven't followed any rule or limitation for the translation and I actually never check how many words I write since the last essay I did on high school. I can't really tell if those approximation of words written per day is accurate to me as I don't write long texts or stories every day but If I count all the e-mails/chats I send at work on both languages, I would say that I write quite a lot more than 2000 words per day.

The first person writing from this interview is not something I have done but I had written stories on first person before. You can find on my page 2 stories about my fox and his sister; The one titled "El Bosque de Arrayanes (The Arrayanes forest)" was written all in one go, it probably took me 3 hours or so (with a little break on the middle) as it was written straight as it popped up on my head and also as I had to do a little research to check train routes and other details fro the story, the Preamble was something that I build up along a few months, writing ideas and recording voice notes, so I can't really tell how long it took me.


I hope that some of all this is useful for you.

I hadn't noticed you also had a spanish version of it, but it is interesting to see that a reporter student what wrote it.

I can most certainly place these statistics in my research, including The Arrayenes forest, which tells of you, the fox I'm assuming Leo and Eleanor the easily angered vixen going on a vacation to Bariloche in the 1970's somehow.
I'm sure it sounds better in spanish, but the story which explained a point of view was well done, you say you made all that in 3 hours with only minor breaks? Most impressive.

The translation was left at about 75% completion all in one day until you ended up finishing it at a different time,

With all that in mind, I can say that you write more than any average secondary writers at a daily basis.

Just a little note regarding the writings on this page: The original interview was on Spanish (this was published after you wrote you first comment), but my writings about Leo (me) and Eleanor (my sister) (time travellers by the way) are written directly on English, so there are no Spanish version of them before I publish them here.
Usually all the text I write on this page gets written first on English (including the stories or photo descriptions), as I think on them directly in English, except for minor details as words or little descriptions, despite it not being my mother language, and then translated to Spanish just because I find it easier when working on this page.
