"Danadriel and Pietro have the same humble beginning, both of them were disposable orphans raised in the fortress monastery of the Wardens of Dawn Knight Order under the tutelage of the paladin Percival,yet Danadriel have his true origin kept as a secret, Pietro suffered with the notoriety of his origin, he was the bastard of the local baron, a fruit of one of his drug filled parties with questionable women, and everyone in the fortress knew about this, making his life a litttle more hellish than expected.
Being the bottom of the joke at every turn didn't weaken Pietro's resolve, he had a clear goal and nothing but death would stop him, he would become a paladin like his master and have all the respect he deserved...but there was one litle trouble in his way , a problem named Danadriel...While pietro was fierce and dedicated to his tasks and duties Danadriel was lazy unfocused and easily distracted, being both pupils of the same master they had to work together and this outraged Pietro greately, Danadriel was a deadweight for him and at first he made everything he could to get rid of it,when Danadriel accidentally revealed his magical powers Pietro didn't waste a second and immediately snitched him to master Percival, this actually saved the life of everyone on the fortress since all magical children are unstable walking bombs, at first Pietro desired to see Danadriel die in a bonfire, but just watching his companion in agony being marked with hot iron and having his powers forever removed softened his heart a little.
Snitching Danadriel brought many advantages to Pietro's life, he was elevated to squire and Danadriel was forced to serve him, all the hatred he used to receive was now directed to Danadriel who as treated by the others as a "castrated witch" , even now being a hero Pietro felt more and more guilty for what his only "friend" was suffering,Pietro tried to ease the life of his companion a little bit but his hatred was ever increasing, Danadriel was more jealous and resentful at every success of Pietro,although this didn't affect their results in their missions, as they grew up they engaged in ever more violent actions, at first they would only deal with minor nuisances like beating noisy drunks in the local tavern or killing plagues, but by the age of 17 Pietro was raised to the rank of minor knight and their missions become more intense, they hunted criminals, lesser monsters and sometimes even witches, togheter they were a great team.
Although their success was increasing Danadriel's situation was worsening even more, the once playful and goofy kid was a now a vicious and treacherous teen, full of scars and missing limbs, But before Pietro could do anything about it Danadriel vanished without a trace, he missed his companion but that couldn't stop him from achieving his dream,he was given new squires to proceed with his good work, and he did it.
By the age of 20 he was ascended to knight, by the age of 24 he became a great knight and due his remarkable service in the war against the fishmen one year later he became a paladin, he tought that was the end of the line, he achived his dream and thats it, in this moment he discovered the world was far more misterious than her belived, he was introduced to the inner circle of the Order and was transformed in a vampire by the grand master of the order, he was shocked when entering the night world, almost everything he knew was a lie he took almost 2 years to finnaly accept his new reality,after coming to terms with his new life Pietro returned even more fiercely to his duty as a champion of the order, now reborn as immortal his feats become even more heroic, going toe to toe with gigantic monsters or entire armies alone, he carved his name in the story of the night world in the last decades." these 2 would later meet again 90 years later, their reunion was not really friendly.

for those who don't know this is not really a medieval world, they have medieval vibe but they have more a fantasy steampunk tech.
