Well, to be fair, they were announced yesterday (Wednesday) in the early morning (at least on Serebii.net).

... and unsurprisingly, the fandom (both furry & pokémon) have already exploded with fan art. ^^

Looks great so far. I really like the grass and water ones this time around. The fire one, not so much...

when I first saw these in your gallery Gil I looked at them and when "god I hope those are his own original ideas..." then low and behold a few days later I see the official release of the generation 5 starters I was more than disappointed... glad I've always been a grass starter :/ great work by the way, just wish the actual starters looked...better in general, not your rendition just the official look of them.
