Shade watched from her hiding place down below, staring upward at the stone den that held the canine that had been filling her thoughts for days now.
She waited patiently for him, knowing full well he would exit the den soon to enjoy a moment's peace under the moonlit sky.
Ace exited the den, pausing for a heartbeat as he sensed the usual presence of the canine he met days ago. A small smirk crossed his lips as he moved forward, pretending not to notice the other's presence.
He stopped at the end of the rock that overlooked the dense forest below. His calm gaze roaming over the ground below.
"Come to me my darling shadow."
He called out into the night.
"I know you are there."
He paused, watching for the ghostly wolf, but saw nothing as she approached him.
Only once in front of him did she reveal herself to him.
Ace gave nothing away as he smiled down at Shade and crimson eyes met dark red.
"There you are."
He reached a paw out, but instead of brushing against something solid it slipped through her form.
Shade looked downward as if ashamed by her form.
"Aren't you beautiful."
He murmured causing Shade to jump at his words and look up at the canine.
"Your....your not afraid of me.?"
She questioned sheepishly, unsure of why she was acting like a love-struck pup.
Ace tried reaching out a paw once more, this time holding it where the females face was.
"Why would I fear one as lovely as you?"
He replied
"Why not join me, it must be lonely for you since those humans did awful thing's to you."
Yes, it had been lonely for her, Shade had been all alone with no clue what had happened to her. Was she dead? Was she alive? She no longer had the answers to those questions anymore.
Like a child whose words had been stolen from her, the female smiled up at him and nodded her head.
Grateful for the companionship Shade drifted next to him and followed him back to the den.
Unknown to both of them this was the start of a very strange relationship.
This is my first piece done with multiple characters and I love how it turned out.
Both characters belong to me so please do not steal or claim as your own in any way.
