After working for Angelica for nearly two years, his debt has been cleared and his life is his own once again.
As soon as he was done paying her back, Angelica lifted the charm that forced him to stay in character as Stacy for so long.
She also removed the magical panties that prevent anyone else from seeing his junk and, as a gesture of goodwill, transformed him into an incubus.

Evan disliked how feminine his incubus body is, at first. But after living freely as himself, no longer beholden to Angelica's restrictions, he's stopped being ashamed of his femininity.
If given the chance early on, Evan would have opted to go back to being his old human self. But after living the cubi life for 2 years, mortal existence has no appeal to him anymore.
And as a secretary bird, he's pretty damn snazzy. He turns heads everywhere he goes now, even when he's not flexing his sexual powers, and he loves all the attention.
He's becoming so comfortable living as a flamboyant and limber bird, he sees no value in his old human form.

He no longer works for Angelica. After living under her thumb for so long, he wanted to be as far away from her as possible.
It was Sapphire who took him in, giving him a job as a dancer at The Cerulean Room. She even gave him one of her rooms until he sorted out someplace else to live.
He became a huge hit almost overnight, and he's been happy to work for her ever since. He also often takes care of customers in private, for a fee.
Getting paid to eat is a job he never dreamed possible, before Angelica came along, but it's one he's eagerly embraced.

He hasn't forgotten where he came from, however. He still keeps in touch with his human family, and does his best to uphold the values he was raised on.
And one of the worst parts of having to be Stacy 24/7 was never getting to talk to his family and let them know what was happening to him.
When he was finally free of Angelica's debt, the first thing he did was contact his sister, Naomi. The two regularly talk online, to this day.

When he was forced to live as Stacy, he couldn't share his Jewish faith with anyone. But he's very open about it now. His parents, both of whom are orthodox,
REALLY do not approve of the life he lives these days. And his mother in particular never fails to remind him of this whenever he calls.
They're not bothered about him being a bird, mind you. In fact, his mother likes his new look so much, she insisted on having a whole slew of new family portraits taken.
She never hesitates to show off photos of him with everyone she knows.

What his parents (and especially his mother) dislike is his career as a sex worker. They'd actually be much harsher on him about it, if the whole thing hadn't originally
been forced on him. The only reason they tolerate it as much as they do is because they thought he was dead up he he finally reached out to them.
The whole "Oh hey, our son isn't dead" thing made his sex work a lot easier to accept.

Regardless, at the end of the day, family is family. And when he and his sister travel to see Mom and Dad on the holidays, they always have a nice time.

All in all, life is pretty great for Evan now. It's not perfect, but he wouldn't change a thing.
