As a kid I grew up close to the Gulf coast so we spent plenty of beach days & evenings there. Due to the Mississippi river constantly dumping silt into it the water was always an ugly brown color (that I decided not to capture in this piece lol) ..but the memories were fun & the sunsets would create beautiful colors in the distant clouds.
Took a different style approach with this piece & liked the results. A very nostalgic piece for me.
