One of the few stand alone novels in the series. Pyramids focuses on Ptepic, the prince of Djelibebi, Discworld's version of Ancient Egypt. He has to assume the throne after having been studying abroad and his new world views don't mesh with the Royal vizier, Dios. Meanwhile, the very construction of the last pharoah's pyramid somehow disrupts the space-time continuum resulting in, but not limited to, the dead of the kingdom being revived.
