During the events of Megaman X1, Justin was assigned to work alongside X as support. Of course he was human and pretty agile for a human with no augmentations. However, he suffered serious injuries that forced him out of service for a few months. It wouldn’t be until, during the events of X2 that he snuck out of rehab, ready to fight to help X and John once again
Even before he gained his powers to become a reploid, the human/stallion outranked X in hunter rank and position, but was known to be rather wreckless. Jumping into danger without a second thought for his own safety.
In this scene, X likes to check on his buddy to make sure he is adjusting well to his new body. Being that he used to be human this is a big experience for him.
