Replete with potential; fragile yet esential
A cognitive miscalculation; A crack deforms
The world diffuse; scattered potential
What was once sacred now wrapped with thorns

It mends through sacrifice; it drains to live
For if the light dies then so too shall the self
Inner peace for a price; a simple parasite
The process sustains; an inner without respite

The sequence complete; the light contained
As thorns retract; the distress fades
Little can be done about it; a reasoning inane
Precautions set in act; fear is all that remains

Echos of torment reverberate; desperation sets the tone
Reduced to a brusque mien; safety in crudeness
With a demeanor of thistle; a fear of the newly known
In asylum the machine begins anew; a life of hubris
