Throm Whitehall is the BIGGEST FREAKIN' CHEETAH YOU WILL EVER SEE GOD DAMN. Orphaned son of a merchant caravan's guard, he had to take to the streets as a rogue for the first few years of his young life, bluffing, begging, negotiating, intimidating, and thieving for the barest survival necessities every day. He had always been unnaturally strong, and only seemed to have any respectable amount of flexibility and speed from his ancestry. It is suspected that one of his ancestors had been a white tiger, his father or his mother having put the recessive genes together in just the right way to result in this very light-furred (almost white), massively burly, vibrantly green-eyed cheetah you see here (uncolored).
He was eventually caught by a pair of travelling clerics from the east... and instead of thrashing him to within an inch of his life, they took pity on him and brought him to their monastery where he took on an ascetic lifestyle of training and meditation. In this way, he gained much wisdom, and now views life with a strong central foundation of calm, balance, and integrity. He found a love of Herbalism, and uses it to clear his thoughts at the end of the day, and likens the Alchemy he uses his herbs in to his other passion: Barkeeping.
Returning to society, his rather intimidating stature (despite his kind, gentle bearing) slated him as a bouncer, where he uses his hard-earned diplomacy and natural intimidation--and when that fails, his enormous strength--to keep people from hurting each other, and uses his skill at healing to help them when they do. He's not exactly a heroic character, much rather focusing on local concerns in his immediate community, trying to suppress crime and promote peace and enlightenment with a level of patience that must nearly border on saintlike--because the going is incredibly slow.
For all intents and purposes, he is the closest thing to a Monk that there is in his world; for, the DM declared that monks are a broken class and are practically walking Mary Sues. Instead, he'll be represented by a fighter class for the remainder of his life, possibly modified to better suit his unarmed preference. If not that, then an exotic weapon preference.
Also, he is Gay. It's not even a question of 'VERY' gay; you don't APPLY a modifier of extent to this. He is just plain gay. Never found himself interested in women, and quite often found himself confused toward their frequent frustration with him. He remains entirely oblivious to their attentions.
Throm was my experiment to see if I could figure out why I was so damned homophobic. You know. FOR SCIENCE!!! The experiment was a success! The result: There was no goddamn reason for me to be homophobic, so I'm not anymore! It was really weird at first, but I feel a lot better no longer being so... restricted ^_^
