when held up to the light, and also have a really lovely
surface texture.

It actually alters the appearance quite a bit. The surface of the print becomes smooth (and waxy) and it interacts with light completely differently. There's more depth (light getting trapped, refracting), and they become translucent, even see-through(ish) when you hold them up to the light. Kind of like a stained-glass or something
