In this final photo we see the so-called SS-200 Super Sniper in a different configuration. I could have removed the stock as well. A knob at the rear of the gun is a screw that loosens the stock. I got this in trade with Mitch Marmel -- I don't remember whether it was for art or not.
The Steyr AUG below has had the laser pointer, suppressor, and telescopic sights removed, and the foregrip folded forward. The iron sight has been foled up. The unfortunate part is that the magazine is neither translucent (as on the real arm) nor is it removable. Rats. Another bit of BS is the fire selector switch above the magazine. The real arm has no such switch. The real selector is the square button just above and behind the trigger. It pushes in for fire, out for safe. The muzzle is a part I added myself.

The toys *are* pretty cheap, really. They aren't as nice as the airsofts at all. But I find them acceptable. Others toys aren't -- you may not see the right ones in your neighborhood stores. All I can suggest is make a web search for the manufacturors I mentioned for each toy. And the ends were orange -- but I spray painted them.

I doubt the cops like any toy gun that isn't bright yellow or orange... but so far as I know the law doesn't forbit toy guns as long as they have an orange part -- usually the muzzle.
My feeling is that the cops are the ones who should have brightly coloured guns. When the draw one, you want people to notice it! Who do the think they are? Snipers? Taliban? They should advertise their presence and actions.
