Adam is a strange missile-headed creature of unknown provenance. They probably don't need to sleep or rest thanks to their mechanical components, but they still enjoy doing these things anyway.
While they appear to be wearing a pair of gloves and paw-shaped boots as a form of minimalistic fashion statement, close inspection and attempts at removal reveal that both are physically part of Adam's composition; and as such will remain just as firmly attached to him as any other body part.
Harry, being curious about Adam's general physiology, found this out fairly quickly during an examination. Before he could continue his examination into other areas, Adam pushed him over and sat firmly atop his chest, immediately pressing his paws against Harry's face and covering both of his filters.
He said something about wanting Harry to do a really thorough inspection, eventually sliding his paws off the pinned bot's filters when his blush started turning blue and rubbing them across his visor instead. After letting Harry recover enough, the paws went right back onto his filters, ready to come off again right at the last moment before he runs out of air...
A cycle that will continue until Harry can recall from memory how many zigzags Adam has on each paw.
