Now let me explain what's going on.

Flint and his friend Chaos were separated when the boat they were on crashed onto the Tyrian shores, a land they have never been to. While searching for his lost friend, Flint came across a local who showed rather good fighting skills against a horde of zombies. He jumped in to help, much to the young Erebus' distaste, and once the zombies were defeated Flint made a bet with Erebus since he knew more about the area.
Hand to hand combat, if Erebus wins, he receives a large sack of money and a bag of rare gems. If Flint wins, Erebus has to act as a guide to Flint and travel with him on his journey in Tyria.
