If Black Lives Matter was really meant to be read at face value there wouldn't really be disagreement with it nor a read to affirm that the truth is broader: All lives matter, and this includes black lives. No sane person in the first world believes otherwise unless he's so cynical he instead believes that no lives are of value.
Because all lives do matter.
And if the black lives matter movement really was about the value of black lives, it'd do things like protest the aggressive frequency of setting up abortion clinics in black neighborhoods, insanely frequent black on black violent crimes, and the general attitude out of the social elite that black people basically "can't help themselves" when it comes to drifting into a life of crime.

So true! And we never hear so much as one blessed peep from the BLM movement about David Dorn, Secoreia Turner, Janari Ricks, Bernell Trammel, or the two black teens killed in the CHAZ (one of whom was disabled by the way). The hypocrisy of the organization is beyond staggering.
Black lives matter because they've had it the roughest, and it's not saying "other lives don't matter cause we said so", but that they've had it worse than most other races. Slavery, Not having the right to vote, not being able to basically do ANYTHING normally until the middle of Last. Fucking. Century. And being judged by and abused by others, namely the KKK.
Agreed, black lives do matter- and it shows with how much influence they have. I'm not a racist or anything- but this just strikes me as way too blown out of proportion. They chant this yearning for equality when the entire world is chanting it and going to ridiculous lengths.
