It can be strange. What one person might find hilarious another may find stupid or weird. Back in the 90s I was asked by a gaming magazine to do some interior illustrations for an article about goofy and off the wall artifacts a party might stumble upon in a campaign. I submitted several rough B/W ideas for the art director to consider. One of them was of rocketing Easter Island heads. He thought that was just strange but liked the idea of Great Sphinx with a propeller beanie.........Hey the job paid. Besides there was nothing to keep me from playing with flying stone head!
