Bill’s Trainers: Sunshine
Bill’s Trainers: After word got out that Bill, inventor of the Pokemon Storage System, could also turn people into Pokemon (and vice versa), people of all types started to come to his house to ask for a dramatic change in their life.
In many cases, it’s a dream come true, but it’s not always easy. It’s considered rude to ask if one of Bill’s Trainers started off as human or pokemon, and even worse to answer; this is done to prevent any sort of judgement one way or the other, but the side effect is that “life” effectively begins at the change, and the old life has to be left behind.

Sunshine knew that she was different from the others in her school early in her life - she didn’t want to stay in safe waters, but venture out into the big, wide world that she knew awaited her. She all but jumped at the chance to join Anthony, the swimmer and pokemon trainer that was also her very first battle.
For the next few years, she stayed at his side, swimming and racing, battling, and playing. As she watched his lovers come and go, helping to pick up the pieces of his heart between them, she slowly realized that she didn’t want to watch this cycle continue, but neither did she want him to find someone with which he would live happily ever after. She wanted him to be with...her.
Of course, there were always rumors of pokemon trainers that had romantic relationships with their pokemon. But that was generally reserved for more anthropomorphic pokemon than herself, a goldeen. Perhaps if she had been a gardevoir, a delphox, or a buneary - the maybe she would’ve had a chance. But to him, Sunshine was always his dear friend. After much thought, she left Anthony in the dead of night; she swore to him that she would return, but it wasn’t in a language he would understand.
Though the rules stated that she had to leave her old life behind, Sunshine kept the remnants of her name, adopting Theia - the ancient goddess of the sun, moon, and stars. Maybe she couldn’t tell him, but she could find him, somewhere in the big world. And maybe he would figure it out. Maybe they could be together. She left Bill’s house on two legs and with a heart full of hope.
